I tried to clarify this with Bitdefender and I didn't really get an answer.i know Kaspersky has a Forum that helps the customers much like the way this forum does. in that they may be´required to clear up so many cases per day/week/month OR face the BOOT ?.Only my fear. It wouldn't surprise me to learn that for each case they have a time limit. My problem with this BESIDES the hugh cost, is that the support staff are probably target driven and although I wouldn't think they would chsarge to remove something that wasn't there WHAT I fear could happen is that they do not clean a system enough.possibly feeling rushed to get onto the next case.

What I really have had difficulty finding out is what level of support is offered by these companies if you get infected.I've read that Nortons are very keen to push customers to PAID REMOVAL at $100 A TIME.

so I tend to read the ones done by Pc mags and the like, and Norton seems to come out well.email filtering and parental controls excluded. thanks for the reply.I have previously read the link but thanks for mentioning it anyway.The problem I have with the link to the 'Test' houses is that I don't really understand the results.So i believe or interpret, just because a suite or scanner gets top marks in detection, these tests don't take into account other factors, like time taken to run and user/layman friendliness etc etc.
